Ammonoosuc River Advisory Committee

The Town of Carroll is seeking a representative for the Ammonoosuc River Local Advisory Committee

The ARLAC is seeking to recruit more members from the Ammonoosuc River’s watershed communities. Current Representation comes from: Bethlehem (x 1), Littleton (x2), Sugar Hill (x 1), Lisbon (x 1), Landaff (x 1), Bath (x 1), and Haverhill (x 1). We are seeking at least 1 more representative from the following communities: Haverhill, Bath, Landaff, Sugar Hill, Lisbon, Littleton, Bethlehem, Carrol and Coos County. The committee is established pursuant to RSA 483:8-a. The Ammonoosuc River LAC was established in 2008 and developed the River Corridor Management Plan that was adopted in 2013. Appointed members serve a 3-year term. The committee meets once a month on the first Wednesdays at 5:30 pm at the Littleton Community House to review applications that fall within the purview of the LAC, being activities being in or within 250 feet of a tier 2 or 3 designated river that have a direct surface water connection to the designated river. To join the Ammonoosuc River Local Advisory Committee takes appointment by your town’s selectboard, completion of the attached Nomination Form, and NH DES appointment confirmation.
